Job description
The duties of this Power Distribution Field Technician position include, but are not limited to:
Field base Data collection, utility equipment photography, unit inventory, lighting audits, measurements, mapping, and similar field-based surveying for updating records and preparing design documents.
Visual Inspection of electrical distribution poles and other electric installations, both overhead and underground.
Quickly learn and apply technology tools like computers, laser range finders, digital cameras, GPS systems, angle finders and other smart tools.
Serve as a design and/or staking helper for senior engineers.
An advocate of safety and develop a working knowledge of the national Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and Electric Utility Standards.
Occasional overnight may be required.
Qualifications:
Entry-level role, no prior experience is needed.
Willingness to learn and advance in the Power Delivery sector.
Reliable transportation
Clear and Valid Driver's License
Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
