The Job: Instrument Engineer
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Industry: Consumer Goods and Manufacturing
Contract Type: Full Time and Permanent
As an Instrument Engineer, you will be expected to do the following:
- Build, assembly, test, repair and calibration of Process Safety (PS) and JCI electrostatic measurement range of instruments
- Maintenance and upkeep of equipment electrical CAD (Smartdraw or other package) drawings, build procedures, bill of materials, test and calibration records for the equipment that you have received training in
- Wiring up of enclosure panels using good manufacturing practice whilst following in-house build procedures
- Hand population of circuit boards
In order to be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- Either a HND in electrical and electronics or equivalent qualifications and some experience working within an instrument/manufacturing or repair services.
- Dexterity with hand tools.
- Instrument control, enclosure assembly skills to set and build procedures, troubleshooting/fault tracing skills able to follow.
