Job description

Our client are seeking a Marine Electronics Engineer to join their growing team. We are looking for someone with practical experience as a Marine Electronics' Engineer or someone with an engineering background that has operated Marine Navigation and Communications systems.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Technical planning - System Design, Mechanical + Schematic Drawings
• Commissioning of Marine Navigation and Communications Systems from various OEM's
• Design and manufacture of bespoke systems
• Equipment repairs
• Fault finding
• Travel (National and International)
• Opportunity for overtime

Our client has a tight knit team with low staff turnover. As such they will be looking for the following skills and qualities:

• Knowledge of the Marine industry (Commercial or Naval)
• Operating and or Maintenance knowledge of Marine Electronics
• Experience in Setting to work Navigation and Communications systems
• Proactive and positive attitude
• Strong Team Player
• A passion for problem solving
• Good communications Skills
• The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Availability to travel (Sometimes on short notice)
• Candidates should have a full UK driving licence and their own vehicle.
