Job description

An Avionics Systems Integration Engineer undertakes the planning and technical management duties to deliver Avionic Systems Engineering for Typhoon.

You will conduct operational integration and deliver Avionics Systems Product Design, Development, Test and Qualification activities - This includes developing programme plans and delivering product maturity milestones, covering the Cockpit Group, AJT and L3 Design Teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Defining, tailoring and publishing Integrated Programmes and Product Maturity milestones for evolving Avionics Product releases.
2. Ensuring the achievement of key deliverables of the Cockpit Group, AJT and L3 Design Teams, including the coordination and reporting of status and deliverable forecasting, supported by Project Control and JIRA based toolsets.
3. Management of outputs required by other teams and dependencies into the team from other teams to discharge Avionic Systems activities.
4. Supporting Integration Reviews to communicate across the sub-systems and capability test organisations as to the impact of their activities on the programme in terms of integrated programme schedule and cost.
5. Monitoring Avionics programme risk and the progress of the mitigation actions for those risks.
6. Integration and harmonisation of programmes across the European Partner Companies (EPCs) in support of periodic Eurofighter operations reviews.
7. Provide Technical and Programme information and tactical or routine briefings to the Avionics Systems Management Team.
8. Discharging intelligent integration and harmonising Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities through Cockpit Group, AJT and L3 Design Teams, supported by the CAM Project Control Team

What we are looking for in you:

• An excellent communicator with proven teamwork and stakeholder management abilities.
• Trusted to participate in technical meetings without supervision.
• Capable of discharging work across the team and maintaining budgetary / schedule responsibilities.
• Experience of working across a Systems and Software lifecycle and having an understanding of Typhoon processes would be advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess a delivery focus with cognisance of quality, schedule and cost.
• Capable of effectively communicating progress and challenges to a senior stakeholder community.
• Capable of progressing a number of concurrent tasks.
• Must be capable of working within agreed standards and procedures.

Additional information:

• Hybrid Working: there will be a requirement to attend site at least 60% (3 days per week) of the time.
• Must be suitable for clearance up to SECRET on UK national and UK involved multi-national programmes.

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a Criminal Record Check and you must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material, therefore we can only consider UK Nationals for this position. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
