SENIOR CIVIL 3D TECHNICIAN

Salary: Competitive, according to skills and experience
The candidate must have the ability to work both independently and within a team to solve complex problems within the civil engineering, highways and utility engineering disciplines, with a proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Micro Drainage and Navisworks. Experience of managing federated BIM models will be an advantage.
The candidate must also be able to demonstrate experience working in a multi-discipline environment to include highways, drainage and infrastructure engineering disciplines. A key element will be experience in modelling below ground utilities. The candidate will also have experience in dealing direct with clients at technical meetings.
The role would be to undertake highway, drainage and infrastructure design with supervision and assist in the preparation of Section 278 and 38 applications, Section 104 and 106 applications and planning applications.
The candidate must be able to support the lead designer in negotiations with regulating bodies/statutory authorities to gain application approvals, as well as liaise with clients and other key stakeholders through the project delivery process.
Must possess a relevant degree qualification as a minimum and have strong technical report writing capability and demonstrate experience of delivering design packages from concept through to post-construction. The role will include the supervision and mentoring of junior staff.
