Job description

Leonardo is the Prime contractor for the NATO JEWCS programme, the aim of which is to provide NATO with an updated Electronic Warfare training capability to support all NATO forces in preparing for operations in a hostile Electronic Warfare Environment.
The successful candidate will join the prime project team and use their requirements engineering skills and experience to help deliver this new and complex capability to NATO.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their SE experience by; participating in a complex system of systems programme, gaining knowledge of the Electronic Warfare and training equipment domain and working through a system lifecycle from detailed design through to verification and acceptance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO?

Reporting to the Requirements lead as part of the Prime Systems team, you will:
Work within the Prime systems engineering team to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the requirements database for the JEWCS system of systems.
Manage requirements changes to completion with internal and external stakeholders.
Creation and Maintenance of verification cross-reference matrices for the requirements set.
Liaise with internal experts in DOORS database configuration and management to generate appropriate reports and metrics for the maturity and health of the Requirements set.
Provide requirements support and formal data for design reviews and other forums.
Contribute to the management and generation of formal acceptance evidence.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

  • Experience of requirements management using DOORS in a requirements-based systems engineering environment.
  • Experience of writing and compiling requirements specifications and verification cross-reference matrices.
  • A good working knowledge of systems engineering tools for requirements.
  • Ability to understand complex engineering processes and the inter-dependencies
  • Experience working in cross-functional team environments.
  • Good attention to detail, and record keeping.
  • Presenting technical data to all levels within the company and external customers.
  • Experience in requirements-based system development.


Also desirable would be knowledge of:

  • System test and acceptance.
  • Experience of working in the defence electronics sector.
