Introduction

Matchtech is currently recruiting for a Business Administrator on behalf of a large MOD.

The Job

Business Administrator - 12-month contract - Govan - £14.46 p/h UMB or £11.00 p/h PAYE (Inside IR35)

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.

This role requires you to obtain a basic disclosure along with employment reference checks before starting.

The Role:

To provide Operations administrative and technical support to appropriate parties within the function. Also supports the effective operation of Surface Fleet Solutions, operations systems and processes.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to ship, area and IWT managers, supervisors and employees on functional processes, policies and procedures to ensure consistency of approach throughout Operations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing review and development of operations administrative and IT systems and processes including, reporting to ensure consistency of approach and customer-focused cost-effective service provision.
  • Contribute to the effective and timely completion of all ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports from relevant systems to meet needs of Operations team.
  • Generate and maintain record of all necessary correspondence for employee personal/Operational changes.
  • Accountable for inputting Disc/Absence/Workplace information to the relevant IBS systems and accountable for ensuring pay and leave amendments to achieve the timely payment of salaries and wages by payroll and to ensure that manpower changes are confirmed.
  • Generate and maintain record of all necessary correspondence for employee personal/Operational changes.

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent IT Skills (MS Office including power point)
  • NVQ 3 Business Admin desirable
  • Quality (BMS) and HS&E Management system desirable
