Overview of Responsibilities / Skills

Responsible for the design, manufacture, verification and validation, along with through life technical support of board level, sub-system and system level test equipment.

This role is open to Hardware / Electronics Design Engineers looking to join a successful team where you will be involved in the Design of functional test equipment. You will be developing appropriate test hardware, test software and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware.

Experience needed:

  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering/related subject
  • Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design.
  • Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
  • Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to support/debug system integration
  • Good communicator

Desirable:

  • Understanding of test architectures(PXI/d LXI) would be advantageous.
  • Experience in software certification; NI LabView, NI CVI, NI TestStand, C#
  • Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools.
  • Experience in the design of mix signal circuits
  • Experience in high speed serial networks, RF electronics or power supply design
