Job description

What This Role Will Involve

You will be required to screen, refer, and diagnose internal issues and work requests as they relate to the maintenance of personal computers and related systems. Resolve 1st and 2nd line helpdesk problems and answer queries by telephone in support of internal and external connected PC's, software applications, and basic network communications. Manage mobile infrastructure, setup devices

Provide IT support as part of a team for the IT Infrastructure including email system and data storage solutions, servers, and network communications. Working alongside the Senior IT Systems Administrator loading OS and configuring computers for staff. May prepare help desk incident reports and maintain IT Asset Database

Participate in dedicated IT Projects and assist in hardware and software evaluation

Job Functions

  • Have a substantial understanding of the job, apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
  • Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
  • Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general to detailed instructions on newly introduced assignments
  • Any other task associated with the above role.

Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, across various channels, e.g., in person, over the phone/video & email etc.
  • Be able to effectively manage your priorities, time, and workload
  • Sound trouble shooting skills
  • Cyber Security understanding and awareness
  • Requires solid knowledge of Windows Desktop OS (up to Windows 11) Laptop/PC configurations and MS Office Suite (including office 365)
  • Experience with Active Directory, Printers and Networks
  • Windows server OS including Hyper-V (up to Server 2019) Some knowledge of MS SQL Sharepoint and Project server
  • Some Knowledge of Apple Mac operating systems (up to Big Sur).
  • Some Knowledge of Apple iPhone and iPad operating systems.
  • Some Knowledge of Firewall technologies
  • Have a focus on continuous improvement, in terms of systems, services and yourself.
