We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders in order to identify, prioritise and present requirements and features of the cloud, control and analytics aspects of the product.
You will have the chance to work with a team that includes specialists in power systems (hardware), data analytics, embedded systems and our global software functions.

The Product Owner will drive new product development, from concept generation to detailed design and prototype build, through to deployment on grid and customer operations.
You will contribute to product definition and continuous product improvement. As part of the Product team you will be embedded in the Smart Transformer product line, operating with significant autonomy, managing and improving established policies/processes, towards
successful outcomes.

Responsibilities
Own the product specification and guide the development process for our next generation transformer, low voltage grid analytics and associated services.
Interface with customer and internal teams to gather requirements, including user workflows and customer operations.
Research and translate industry standards and guidelines into functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
Along with domain experts, ideate and propose analytics and metrics for the
customer.
Provide an ongoing interface between development and internal/external
stakeholders
Understand technical considerations and communicate this to other stakeholders in order to reach consensus on feature prioritisation.
Communicate development roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with project management and technical lead to coordinate the project and ensure the development roadmap is both realistic and suitable for the clients' needs.
Provide motivation for technical teams by giving context to user requirements in terms of the client's business needs and the problems that the features will help resolve.

Role Requirements
Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
Development and analysis of customer requirements from use cases.
Experience in agile development processes and product life cycles.
Good understanding of software lifecycle for embedded or cloud based applications.
Demonstrable ability to develop and share understanding of disruptive technologies from first principles.
Proven track record of technological leadership in small projects.

Background
Experience as a Product Owner or an adjacent role in agile product development
e.g. Scrum Master, Project Manager, Developer, Systems Engineer or QA.
Degree or significant formal training and experience in development of engineered products or complex systems e.g. software/SAAS, engineering, physics, control &instrumentation, utilities, or infrastructure.
Experience from a regulated industry is useful, e.g. cybersecurity, aerospace, energy sectors.
