My Client is recruiting for a Senior Solutions Manager in the Water Sector

Location: Can be based South Wales (Caerphilly), Reading or Midlands. Will require travel nationwide to meet clients etc

The company is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced EICA departmental manager with leadership/managerial qualities to manage a dedicated team responsible for the company products.

The initial product, tanker reception system, is a bespoke data logger and control system used for the control and monitoring at a site level which interacts with a multifaceted Web Portal Application to provide secure real-time, interactive functionality and reporting for an organisation (water utility) and its contractors. The product concept has developed greatly from the initial product and software to multiple hardware devices and vast variety of bespoke software applications to provide control and management of site assets as well as an extensive interactive Web Portal. The systems form an integral part of a Water Utilities control and monitoring of waste at its sites and the performance of its assets.

The main products are based around the transportation and safe disposal of liquid waste, ensuring compliance with legislation, management and control of wastes, tanker fleet management, process efficiency, site security and tanker reception control

The Senior Solutions Managers (SSM) role will be to manage the Design Development Team (DDT), ensuring that they provide the software design for the company products, provide continual development, taking consideration of technological advancements, sunsetting technology and safeguard of supply chain. Additionally, using their technical and wastewater engineering background to lead the DDT in developing solutions and convert conceptual ideas into business opportunities.

The SSM will be required to maintain close contact with client R&D departments, Optimisation Teams and Strategic planners to develop improvements and enhancements to the products and services. This will require the SSM to remain informed of current industry standards, legislative requirements and regulations that effect sewage, sludge and trade effluent and where applicable use this knowledge to further enhance the offering of the Products

There will be a requirement to travel throughout the UK for site surveys, site visits, meetings, etc. and there may be a need for this role to work from remote site office locations or client offices depending on the scope of the project.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Experienced EICA engineer qualified to HND/HNC/Degree level.
• Detailed knowledge of wastewater treatment and sludge processes
• Produce technical designs and implementation plans for product projects for handover to delivery teams.
• Be a highly experienced multi-disciplined engineer with a robust wastewater and EICA engineering background with specialisms in wastewater treatment/engineering.
• Have knowledge of best practice EICA standards as well as team and client facing leadership skills.
• Good communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
• Have excellent research skills and able to present technical information, clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work well with other teams within the company.
• Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Have a good working knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures within the water industry.
• Full UK Driving license.
