Overview of the Role:

Supports the Principal Transformation Practitioner ("PTP") in collaborating with clients, guides and works with Business Analysts ("BA") to identify and present data-driven recommendations and solutions which deliver transformational change programmes to solve complex organisational problems for our clients.
Supports the Principal Transformation Practitioner in the leadership and people management aspects of BA team members.

We support public and private sector organisations whose work is often of strategic importance to the UK that develop and deliver large and complex solutions. Due to the nature of the work we perform for our clients, you will need to hold or be able to obtain appropriate UK government security clearance.


Role Responsability:

- Work with the PTP and senior client stakeholders to identify and prioritise their organisation's functional, operational and technical change requirements

- Facilitate discussion of requirements to gain agreement for captured and prioritised business requirements amongst senior stakeholders, gathering and presenting intelligence as required

- Cascade the requirements to your BA team[s] and work with them in identifying and presenting compelling organisational data to support the recommended solution[s], through application of analytical tools such as PowerBI, SQL and Excel, visual tools such as charts, tables, and financial models such as forecasting, budgeting, and variance and financial analysis

- Apply understanding of business strategies, goals and requirements and enterprise architecture planning to support the business solution[s]

- Lead your BA team[s] in realising change programmes to meet the requirements and deliver the agreed solution[s]

- Apply a structured approach to understanding the current and future business contexts (the 'as-is' and 'to-be' states)

- Improve efficiency, quality, and strengthen business processes by implementing emerging techniques and Business Analysis techniques

- Provide ongoing reporting to senior client stakeholders and business leaders as required as well as to other stakeholders internally within Avantix

- Determine current and future business processes and practices to support and embed the change[s] including creation of training materials leaving a legacy of useful literature

- Identify opportunities for future transformation changes and assist the PTP into maturing the opportunity into a client proposition

Qualifications & Experience:

- A degree (or equivalent) in a scientific, technological, engineering, mathematical or psychological subject preferred

- Experience in delivering change programmes in complex business environments, ideally in one or more of the following sectors: Defence, Security, Health and Care

- Professional Certification / Qualification in Business Analysis preferred such as International Institute of Business Analysis, British Computing Society, or equivalent

- Experience in applying business analysis techniques such as Business Process Modeling (BPM), Brainstorming, SWOT Analysis desirable

- Track record of effective use of IT collaboration tools, such as Visio, PPT, SharePoint, Teams, JIRA, Confluence

- Awareness of data analysis and robotic process automation

- Awareness of Information Security Policies and Regulations and application within cloud technologies

- Solid understanding of core business and finance principles to support understanding of and ability to address operational issues

- Experience leading and managing Business Analysts

- Breadth of experience covering product development and service design and delivery giving you the knowledge to make informed business insights

- Track record of playing critical roles within high performing teams delivering outstanding solutions to complex challenges in uncertain stakeholder environments

- Experience of applying a continuous improvement approach, embracing innovation where appropriate

- Confident with using and analyzing relevant data
