I am currently working in partnership with a world leader in aircraft crew seating and executive jet passenger seating, with an expanding presence within the electrical galley insert sector.

They have developed an extensive manufacturing capability to deliver their products and operate around the globe for AOG, spare parts distribution, repair services and technical support.

They operate across a wide range of market sectors and are always seeking new staff in a variety of disciplines - from machining and assembly for commercial, technical and administrative.

They depend on and value highly the skills of their employees, in order to achieve their business goals and to uphold their reputation for high quality service.

My client are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager, someone who can lead all customer commercial management and compliance activities, including contracts, proposals, pricing and administration for all OEM and aftermarket customer accounts.

This is a Leadership role, where you will be leading a team of 10 people, with scope to grow in the near future.

You will be instrumental in leading all aspects of the commercial process across:

stakeholder engagement

contract negotiations

review contracts

review pricing strategies

sales strategies and sales operations

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure commercial compliance to customer, business, and legislative obligations.

Lead customer negotiations - terms of contract and pricing.

Develop and implement pricing strategies to meet business objectives.

Manage and approve preparation and submission of customer proposals.

Commercially manage all customer contracts, including contract acceptance, change requests, amendments and order administration.

Identify and report regularly on commercial risks and opportunities.

Propose and implement commercial risk mitigation strategies.

Deliver commercial support to Sales and Customer Account management teams.

Develop and implement innovative commercial management strategies with support from other interested parties inside the Company and with due regard to market changes and trends.

Develop the commercial function as a centre of excellence within Business Development.

Manage departmental resources and alignment of sufficient personnel to specific projects / tasks so as to ensure that agreed schedules are achieved.

Ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place, including the effective measurement and formal reporting of performance within the function.

Manage performance, attendance, timekeeping and employee relations, working in conjunction with the HR Team.

Ensure that all staff working within the Commercial team are provided with information on the Company's performance and future plans, principally through formal briefing processes and reviews.

To be a brand ambassador and to always reflect the Company's values in all customer interaction.

To ensure compliance with all Company policies and regulations where appropriate when delivering and executing commercial management.

To adhere to all Company rules and regulations.

To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe published Health and Safety policies and procedures.

To carry out any other tasks, where reasonable and relevant, when required.
