Job description
Our water/built environment consultancy client are seeking experienced Wastewater Modellers to join them out of their Warrington, Bristol, Dublin, Newcastle, Exeter, Cardiff, Reading, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Brighton offices.
They work as a Strategic Solutions Partner with water frameworks/their partners to develop innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions for their needs. They are looking for driven individuals who think differently and love to challenge conventional thinking to join them in a growing, collaborative team of likeminded engineers working to meet the unprecedented industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges.
You will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team across multiple UK offices and a team abroad, the water company end client and other consultant/contractor partners, collaborating to deliver an AMP 7 programme of works. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative team of engineers, providing opportunities to diversify your experience and contribute to industry leading projects provide.
The successful candidate will work alongside Framework Managers, Project Managers and Project Technical Leads to provide technical expertise and ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards to meet both client and company expectations.
Skills/knowledge/experience
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, or other relevant subject
- Ideally a member of an industry relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate technical experience covering a wide range of modelling activities and a full working knowledge of Infoworks ICM.
- The role will involve taking part in the planning, programming, and coordinating of urban drainage projects while ensuring technical governance and best practices are upheld.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills through report writing, developing and delivering presentations (external and internal), and making contacts in the industry.
- Experienced in the management of staff and staff development as well as the ability to integrate well into a team and provide technical leadership to other modelling staff
- Embody clients' values and ethos of client focus and service excellence.
