Field Service Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: Southampton
Core working hours are 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday.
(Duties for this role may require additional/different hours to be worked).

Southampton is looking for a Field Service Manager responsible for the management and leadership of the field service aspect of the Southampton branch. The role will be focussed on management of the field service team, with focus on safety, quality, estimating, planning and delivery of all field service projects at customer sites in industries that involve heavy plant equipment such as conveyors, crushers, stackers etc
The main responsibilities of this role will include.
- Field service equipment and vehicle management.
- Field service team recruitment, development, and management.
- Customer interface and relationship management.
- Site surveying and project estimating.
- Material management and procurement.
- Co-ordination of labour, materials, subcontracts, and any other resources required for a job.
- Maximise profitability and efficiency whilst maintaining the best customer service possible.
Skills we are looking for are:
- Field service team management experience in Construction, Quarrying and Waste Industries.
- Ability to read and fully understand technical engineering drawings.
- Ability to work under pressure, set deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Experience of equipment used for field service works.
- A positive ambassador for the business.
- Handles sensitive issues with care and thoughtfulness.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude to new ideas and approaches.
- Able to work with others, communicating and building robust working relationships with other departments and people across the business.
- To support other members of the team in times of pressure.
- Strategic and Tactical thinker able to contribute to the growth strategy of the business.
