Job description

Working as a Construction Manager you will effectively and professionally manage the day-to-day operations on projects, including, Health and Safety, installation, logistics, compliance, commissioning, and project handover. Assisting the Project Manager to deliver within budget and programme to the satisfaction of the client.

KEY RESULT AREAS

• Co-ordinate of all site activities with all other site operations.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Proactive management of Health and Safety on site.
• Solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to Project Managers on any defects or defaults found and put forward any innovative ideas to alter current methodology.
• Work collaboratively with the project team and other contractors, subcontractors work packages to achieve the overall project goals.
• Day to day work site coordination and planning to ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently
• Working with the subcontractor to ensure the timely preparation Risk Assessment Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Permits, Consents etc for the works and that these are implemented.

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction management.
• Knowledge of building and construction
• Must have previous experience of structural steel construction and the erection of steel structures.
• Must have previous experience of erecting a buildings superstructure, including working with reinforced concrete & formwork
• Formal H&S training accreditations, minimum SMSTS
