Job description
DV cleared Lead Solutions Architect- outside IR35 (12 months)
A leader in design, engineering and project management consulting is looking for a Lead Solution Architect.
The Lead Solution Architect (LSA) will be responsible for the Assurance, Rationalisation, Coherence of Programmes and Projects and will be working closely with both the Enterprise and Technical Architects to ensure each P&P has a Business Architecture (clearly defined and approved Vision, Capability, Services, requirement sets and Target Start Architecture).
Essential Skills
- Experience working and delivering multiple IT front-end and back end solutions, development and release management strategies, change management and direct leadership in designing solutions/services that meet or exceed customer needs for major Defence Programmes;
- Substantial Design and Development of complex systems including undertaking assessment, problem solving and technical reviews;
- Experience must include Waterfall & Agile/Scrum methodologies;
- Proven experience in working collaboratively across multiple product development and specialist domain teams;
- Application of System Engineering analysis processes and demonstrable continuous improvement initiatives;
- Expertise is the use of Requirement, Architectural, System and Modelling Management Tools;
- Proven experience in working collaboratively across multiple programmes and product development and specialist domain teams;
- Provide architecture updates, recommendations and guidance to monthly Architectural Design Board;
- Understanding and practice of defence standards and procedures;
- Standard productivity toolset use, problem solving, administration & negotiating skills.

- Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational), showing tact, effective listening skills, present and defend points of view to a variety of audiences, follow through and anticipate questions while being prepared with answers or follow-up;
- The ability to work independently with little or no supervision researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet customer needs while making recommedations;
- Candidate must be a team player and be able to follow processes and procedures, with an ability to analyse, design and optimise both user and business processes via technology and integration;
- Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure from a technical point of view with minimum direction, guidance and oversight;
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a related/equivalent field;
- At least 20+ years of IT and engineering and associated administration experience while meeting expertise requirements;

- Defence or related sector experience
