Job description

Job mission:

To be involved in the quality assurance stages of software development and deployment, conduct manual tests on web and back end applications to ensure that the software created by developers is fit for purpose, matches the client requirement and free from bugs or issues before it is deployed.

 

Essential knowledge and experience required:

• Experience in or knowledge of Financial Service products particularly protection, investment and wealth management
• Manual testing or UAT experience.
• A genuine interest in system change and user acceptance testing
• An inquisitive mind and a high attention to detail as you will need to understand how things work to a level you can identify an expected result from an unexpected result in testing and raise defects accordingly
• A proactive approach to work, seeking answers to questions and filling knowledge gaps to help optimise your performance and contribution to the team
• Good workload management, well organised with the ability to work independently and flex between tasks when required

 

Output responsibility:

• Delivery of output suitable to the instructions provided
• Ensure client deliverables are met on schedule and provide the projects team of testing updates as and when required
• High Standards and accuracy
• Attention to detail
• Working knowledge of the products being tested
