Job description
Hamble Aerostructures, part of the Aernnova group of companies, are a leading aerostructures organisation specialising in the design, manufacturing and services of aerostructures and components such as wings, empennages and fuselage sections.
Job Description
The successful applicant would work within the Quality team supporting day to day activities across various teams and work on several specific projects aligned with business objectives (Approval Scope, Quality System Improvements and Cost Reduction). There would be the opportunity / requirement to interact with both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. customer representatives, certification bodies and suppliers) during the discharge of allocated tasks.
Role Specific
Will include but is not limited to:
- Manufacturing Value Stream (VS) support for Quality activities,
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) implementation within Value Streams,
- Problem Solving using 8 Discipline methodology,
- Process Improvements,
- Non-conformity management,
- Communication of performance (internal and to customer using various tools / scorecards - via presentations etc.),
- Create / amend procedures,
- Manage customer returns including root cause correction activity,
- Central Quality team support (Audit Schedule, Action Tracking System, compilation of Scorecards and Quality Metrics, extension to Approval Scopes),
- Product, paperwork, and system auditing,
Record database maintenance.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (aeronautical, mechanical, manufacturing or production),
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT,
- Ability to contribute effectively to team-working and group discussions,
- Good verbal and written communication skills,
- Able to produce clear and precise written reports,
- Possess strong analytical skills,
- Problem solving skills,
- Ability to work to timescales, achieve personal deadlines and contribute to team objectives.
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required
