Job Description
- Assess feasibility of new facilities and processes, development and management of projects for cost, quality and timing
- Support the area by providing the required capability and capacity and supporting equipment, aligned to the programme milestones, launch plans and production requirements.
- Complete feasibility and cost evaluations for proposed new or modified facilities and processes define robust delivery plans with minimised disruption to operations.
- Develop and manage engineering solutions that are suited to the capabilities of appropriate facility and its associated process characteristics as directed.
- Develop robust/lean layout solutions to support facility project delivery or process/operational efficiency improvements.
- Manage, maintain and develop all Health, Safety and Operational Risk Management processes and site-specific processes and systems at the area
- Manage Contractors in strict accordance with the Control of Contractors procedures.
- Contribute to the on-going Environmental Innovation and Reporting (Energy, Water, Waste)
- Manage the support and input of all relevant stakeholders to achieve acceptance, buy-off and successful handover of new or modified facilities.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
The ideal candidate:
- A sound technical engineering and manufacturing background with previous experience in Facilities Development in Engineering
- Proven experience and understanding of facilities processes, equipment and leading technologies.
- Experience of reliability and maintainability principals and an understanding of the environmental impacts of engineering solutions
- An individual, who works independently, is results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.
- An individual with the capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning
- A resilient and enthusiastic who responds constructively to new ideas and inputs
- A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas
- A effective team player, actively develops and supports team members
- Additional info about the skills required: facility experienced personnel. The candidates need to have a level of facility bias and installed conveyors, glazing cells, harness automated Jit systems, and have a level of vendor management in order to fulfil the role. The Facility Engineer can have a Manufacturing engineer background and experience within Trim & Final.
