Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to take on the role of Senior Quality Engineer on a contract basis.

Job description
This role will focus on providing value stream leadership to support customers, internal quality, and pro-active right first-time methodology. The core focus will be on providing value stream leadership and supporting customers, internal quality, and pro-active right first-time methodology. You'll work closely with customers, quality assurance team members, manufacturing team leaders, product leaders, and manufacturing engineers to drive customer satisfaction by improving Total Cost of Quality (TCoQ), On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery & other KPIs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage or mentor junior or other Quality Engineers as required
- Implement effective long-term improvements using DMAIC, 8D, 5Y, 7 wastes, or other improvement tools
- Possess knowledge of gears and gear geometry
- Have working knowledge of 6 sigma, GR&R, SPC, DoE
- Understand ISO9001, AS9100D, ISO14001 and ISO45001
- Strong people and motivational skills

- Tenacious and proactive team player
Requirements:
- Background in low volume assembly or precision machining of steels & castings
- Degree, HNC or equivalent with engineering content
