Job description

Matchtech are urgently looking for an electrical design engineer in London for a 6 month project with an option for long term work.

Location - Stratford, London - Hybrid working model

Duration - 6 months with option for long term work

Rate - £425 per day INSIDE IR35

 

Objectives:
- Undertake electrical engineering design activities ensuring quality, timely delivery, compliance with British and TfL standards.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance and input to electrical engineering design.
- Ensure designs meet relevant legislation and standards and are completed to the highest quality.
- Review, check and challenge technical electrical engineering design submissions from both contractors and internal design teams.
- Provide electrical engineering input to progress meetings and provide accurate reporting of progress.

Daily duties:

- Coordinate and undertake electrical engineering design and assurance activities.
- Production of relevant project documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, seeking the relevant review/endorsement from the civil assurance engineer/technical lead.
- Ensure that technical standards are being applied throughout the project life cycle through critical examination of contractors design submissions.

- Delivery of electrical engineering designs at multiple stages throughout the project life cycle ensuring designs are compliant and 'fit for purpose'. Monitor site/construction activities where applicable, ensuring works are as per design and meet standards. Where applicable manage the close out and handover of electrical site construction activities.
