Job description
You will be part of the Marine Outfitting Team involved in the newbuild of state of the art hovercraft. You must be capable of working to a consistent high standard and work well within mixed trade teams.
This role will suit Sheet Metal Workers.
Role requirements:
Ability to work with aluminium/stainless, specifically to cut, bend or shape
Able to use basic hand tools and machinery
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Able to apply sealant beads concisel
Design of small brackets
To undertake any other projects or tasks that are assigned to you
Conscious of weight constraints when providing fitting solutions
Any other ad hoc tasks that are required
Personal Profile:
Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
Must have completed an appropriate engineering apprenticeship
Must be flexible and will move from job to job
Must understand and work to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act
Must have experience of working in a continuous improvement environment and be willing to make an active contribution to the process
To be able to work to a high standard
Good communicator
Recognised Apprenticeship in Boat Building is desirable
Rates of pay:
PAYE
Standard - £18.26/h plus £2.20/h holiday accrual
Weekday OT - £24.29/h plus £2.93/h holiday accrual
Weekend OT - £27.39/h plus £3.37/h holiday accrual
Umbrella Co (relevant deductions to be made by the approved payroll provider)
Standard - £24/h
Weekday OT - £31.67/h
Weekend OT - £36.72/h
Hours - Standard 40 hour week with weekday and weekend OT available
