Job description
This is an opportunity for a Project Engineer to work on a world-first green hydrogen gas project which involves the design and installation of a hydrogen production and storage plant.
The successful candidate for this Project Engineer position must have a background as a mechanical design engineer and be able to make mechanical engineering decisions.
The daily role and responsibilities of this Project Engineer vacancy will include stewardship of the schedule, budget and scope whilst managing engineering contractors through detailed design. You will liaise with contractors during design, fabrication, installation and commissioning and promote safety throughout. You must be able to answer technical queries regarding the mechanical engineering aspects throughout this project.
To be considered for this Project Engineer job candidates should have a mechanical engineering qualification (ONC / HNC minimum). Plus, you must have demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Engineer and a Project Engineer on process plant projects in highly regulated industries e.g. oil & gas, oil refinery, petrochemical or chemical manufacturing.
This role is Inside IR35. The rates advertised are Umbrella. We can also pay the successful candidate on a PAYE basis. Details can be discussed upon application.
