Job description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Professional in Wrexham for our Global Manufacturing client who will be able to drive a culture of improvement in product quality and management system compliance and facilitate reduction in customer complaints, product and systems issues with product certification bodies.

They will be supporting the maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) under ISO, BASEC CPR 12, UL and CSA product certifications.
The successful candidate must have Good knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management systems


It is important that this person can support and derive the implementation of actions aimed at developing awareness of customer satisfaction on site. Monitor and report Quality KPI's & targets for site to the Plant Management Team and UK Quality Manager and assist with the evolution of currently implemented company programmes, e.g. Right First Time, Cost of Poor Quality reduction, Continuous Improvement initiatives, liaising with Group as necessary.

Engineering experience is important as this person must be able to maintain relevant site calibration systems and Input into Technical Reviews and Product Group Quality Meetings with Process Engineering. Drive and manage Process FMEA reviews on discrete product types to develop necessary process improvements.

The Quality Assurance will support UK Purchasing with planned quality audits of the supplier base using Group standards and norms, as well as reactive work with suppliers to resolve quality complaint and manage, develop and execute the internal IMS Audit programme, verifying corrective action closure. Infact all third party audits will be managed through this role.


Required skills:

  • Candidates should be educated to degree/HNC level in an engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Proven experience of working in a similar quality management or compliance role, ideally within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment with good customer / people management skills.
  • Good knowledge of QHSE Management System standards.
  • QHSE Internal Auditor certification as a minimum, preferably with experience of running an extensive integrated internal audit programme in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Able to demonstrate strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills at various levels of the organisation, as well as working as part of a cross-functional team.
  • A pro-active, results-driven, resilient and passionate individual with a desire to make a positive impact in the organisation.
