Job description

Role Summary/Purpose:

  • The Tower Project Quality Engineer provide quality assurance and quality control support during the Handover of Final Products from Factories to the Harbour.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The Tower Project Quality Engineer will collaborate with all project functions and supporting departments involved in the Handover, Transport, M&E and Onshore Commissioning of the Tower sections and components. In his role, he will lead project improvement initiatives to meet project objectives and client satisfaction.
  • The Project Quality Engineer can represent the Project Quality Manager for internal and external meetings, inspections and audits related to the Tower sections and components.
  • The Project Quality Engineer will be responsible to maintain a record on the Quality Documentation completed, received and submitted to the Customer.
  • When required, he will also support to validate Non-Conformities related to Transport damage or during Tower Assembly that shall be transferred to the Global Supply Chain Team or Dispositioned by Engineering.
  • The Project Quality Engineer will contribute to control and report on Cost of Poor Quality and Vendor Build Back Process on Quality issues related to the Tower Sections.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 year-experience in a similar role and position in an industrial field.
  • Experienced in multicultural working environment and international travels.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in offshore wind design engineering and/or quality manufacturing.
  • HV Qualifications/Certifications.
  • Experience and/or qualification in audit process, familiar with quality software for inspection, auditing and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to quickly learn production process, product standards definition and manufacturing processes, capacity to identify the steps which are critical to quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as liaison with the project team, the supply chain organization, engineering, and customer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experienced in Lean Management.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
