Job description

Title: Information Security Officer

Location: Remote with a little travel to Southampton (once a month)

Pay rate: £450-£600/day inside IR35 depending on experience

We are currently looking for an experienced Information Security Officer/ Consultant to work on numerous projects offering Security Assurance activities to a global business. The ISO will need experience across a broad range of Security areas, mainly focused on the implementation of solutions to help mitigate business risk.

These services range from full-lifecycle project engagement through to routine daily tasks such as providing change approvals and giving advice and guidance on security best practices to colleagues and customers across the business.

As a subject matter expert in Information Security risk, the main purpose of this role is to deliver a consultative service to the business and its internal stakeholders. It will be providing oversight of new system designs as they evolve, clear direction on decisions requiring a level of information security input, and identification and management of existing and emerging risk within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Information security oversight, guidance, and governance across a variety of internal projects, business initiatives and as needed in relation to BAU activities across the UK and wider global businesses.
• Project assurance activities from inception to delivery to ensure solutions are secure by design, such as requirements generation, architectural design governance and oversight of internal and external security testing and remediation.
• Internal and 3^rd party risk identification, assessment, and management using the corporate standard methodologies and tooling.
