>The job

Our client is one of the most innovative and dynamic software houses in Portugal, specialized in designing, developing and delivering Industrial Systems, Information Management and IT Consulting products and services to their clients in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, on a truly international scale.

For their offices in Lisbon, they are looking for an IT Project Manager to join the team. The main responsibility is to help manage the software development process, and to coordinate externally with the client for the implementation, integration and deployment of the solution.

Main duties:

• Work cross functionally with the commercial, product and engineering teams.
• Ensure that the planning, schedules and deliverables defined with the teams are met.
• Communicate the status of projects and their deliverables (including timelines, risks, delays and overall progress) to key stakeholders in the commercial, product and engineering teams.
• Manage the scrum planning and backlog grooming activities of the engineering team; must have experience in conducting periodic sprint demo activities.
• Report on scrum activities and team productivity; must understand fundamental scrum concepts (of speed estimation, effort, burndown, etc.)
• Lead projects in all their phases, from start-up to completion, working with teams in strategy definition, business analysis, requirements gathering and specification, development and quality assurance of deliverables.
• Streamline the automation of work processes, oriented to the faster and more reliable production of deliverables and the improvement of the project's global quality.
• Dynamize the sharing of information and knowledge among all teams, through the dissemination of project documentation, products and their features, and software development procedures.

>Requirements

• Availability to travel (3/5 days a month)
• English is a must, Portuguese and/or German would be a great plus
• +2 years of experience in leading teams and/or technical management of projects and software engineering teams, for internal and external customers.
• Experience in agile (Scrum) project management methodologies. Knowledge of Waterfall methodologies is a great plus.
• Must demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written communication skills across different channels (direct communication, formal, structured documentation, etc.). Be eager to learn and a fast learner.
• Experience working with industrial or manufacturing projects or clients would be a great plus.
