Job description

Substation Engineer (Design or P&C) - Remote

Provide engineering/technical expertise to solve complex problems in a specific area of expertise, without supervision. Incumbents are expected to have advanced skills and able to work independently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Without supervision, in the area of expertise will provide:
- engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems
- effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
- thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
- continuous improvement of job-related, engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
- effective oral and written communication skills
- accurate records and files
- support of the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from an EAC/ABET accredited four-year college or university in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural) OR an approved evaluation of non-ABET credentials by NCEES.
- 5 years minimum of experience as an Engineer with the electrical industry in the field of power delivery.
- PE certified
- Must live in the USA and have authorization to work in the USA permanently without the need for sponsorship.
