We are looking for an experienced Electronics Fitter to work on an initial 6 month contract basis with a leading Aerospace Manufacturing business located in Titchfield (PO14).

Job description

Rates: £16.28 p/hour PAYE increasing to £16.77 p/hour PAYE after 3-months.

Overtime: paid at time & a half (Mon-Sat) and double time on a Sunday.

Location: Titchfield (PO14)

Additional information: Paid holiday on top (25 days per year plus bank holidays), plus statutory pension.

The successful candidate will be able to:
* assemble electrical / electronic units
* solder to relevant specifications
* understanding of circuitry / circuit board methodology
* read and understand manufacturing instructions including layouts & drawings
* complete and maintain manufacturing records including electrical records
* maintain a clean & tidy environment consistent with the high standards of quality & care required by the company
* instruct and give training when required
* adhere to safe working practices and site regulations
* assist with Engineers and Team to improve quality, cost and delivery targets.
* be a team player, able to work under own initiative and flexible to changing demands. 

Experience required:
* Electrical/Electronic systems knowledge.
* Technical and test experience in an aerospace environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of soldering and electronic principles.
* Experience in an ESD environment preferred.

The contract is likely to be long term and could potentially lead to a permanent job in the future for the right person.
