Job description

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be time served with papers
• Previous experience of programming, setting and operating CNC lathes, sliding head and manual lathes
• set and run manual lathe machines
• Program, set and run xyz proturn lathes
• Program, set and run star sliding head lathes
• Producing fixtures and jig's
• Manufacturing 1 offs to large Batch qty's.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Determine optimal tooling and cutting parameters based on material and setup.
• Actively works with other members of the team to increase quality
• To maintain work equipment and a safe and well organised workstation.
• To complete safety checks to ensure machine and work equipment is in good working order.
• Assist in work centre housekeeping and any 5S activities
• Good time management.
• Good attention to detail to allow you to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards and efficiency.
• Ability to fully contribute to the process of continuous improvements.
• Good understanding of working in similar high technology environment.
