Job description
Position title: | Software Engineer - Unity | ||
Location: | REMOTE with occasional visits to office in Hampshire. | Working hours: | 37.5hours per week |

Job Purpose: | Develop new 3D viewer capability, using Unity to build a 3D Globe tool that meets both engineering and marketing requirements. The role encompasses numerous tasks in support of the main Unity 3D scene, including UI, 3D modelling, networking and some 3D maths. | ||
Scope / dimensions: | A prototype system exists that solves a number of key problem areas in maths, maps and networking, this needs advancing into a deliverable and installable product. A substantial amount of UI elements are required to control the viewer and allow interactions with entities within the viewer. 3D models exist for elements to be placed in the environment, requiring consistent handling of textures, orientation and scale. Geometry is also created programatically. JSON networking (currently Newtonsoft) handling incoming data requires expanding to additional elements. |
