Experienced DevOps Manager opportunity has arisen with our client, an exciting and recognised UK Telecoms organisation.

As DevOps Manager you will lead a team of 15+ DevOps & Linux Engineers where you will be responsible for developing and implementing Digital Enterprise strategies within DevOps in order to meet the operational and financial needs of the company, helping it reach both its short-term and long-term growth goals.

As DevOps Manager you will be:

• Accountable for a team of DevOps Engineers and Development Engineers deploying critical services for both internal and external customers. Driving service resilience to enable reliability in a complex Linux-based environment.
• Accountable for Hybrid Cloud and Private Cloud platforms for both internal and external customers.
• Drive innovation to help support transition of global media to cloud technologies to help drive £100M in new revenues
• Develop and support new cloud solutions
• Assessing and managing risk - technical, financial and reputational risks, with a strong focus on cost and security.
• Apply industry best practice architectures and methodologies
• Working with stakeholders and leadership to define projects and prioritise workstreams. Reporting progress, identifying issues early, negotiating remediations and being accountable for their successful delivery.
• Manage 3rd party suppliers ensuring standards of delivery, product specification and documentation are aligned to the companies requirements.

As DevOps Manager, you will have:

• Exceptional technical knowledge in DevOps applications and processes.
• A proven track record delivering high availability systems.
• Experience of Agile project methodologies, supporting effort estimations, leading spike activities and showcase presentations.
• A proven track record defining and promoting DevOps methodologies and enterprise procedures and governance
• Experience delivering secure systems, hardening infrastructure and DevSecOps.
• Experience leading technical teams, scheduling / prioritising tasks, and overseeing the delivery of technical projects.
