Job description

They are seeking an individual who has experience with National Highways works and is familiar with all stages of project development including pricing prospects and delivering projects.

The role entails managing and developing a design team focussed on the delivery of specific lighting and electrical packages of works. The individual will be responsible for the successful delivery of such packages as a design lead. Familiarity with all deliverables and ability to produce bespoke deliverables such as survey specifications or technical notes.

Following completion of the specific role the successful individual will continue to support a range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations and will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.

Responsibilites will include:

• Support of one of the largest lighting design teams in the country
• Access to guidance documents and valuable resources to help develop technical understanding

• Exposure to key clients and stakeholders, plus the opportunity to build your professional portfolio
• Membership with the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP) or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and support with Engineering Council registration (IEng, CEng)
• CPD opportunities and support in attending industry recognised events and seminars

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Are ambitious and interested in becoming part of a high performing Lighting and Energy Solutions team
• Experience in National Highways Project Management / Finances for Lighting and Electrical works
• You have achieved IEng/CEng or working towards IEng
• The ability to multitask in a high volume, fast paced work environment and plan work accordingly
• Confidence with proven interpersonal, organisational, analytical, technical and communication skills
• Familiar with the relevant British Standards and guidance applicable to lighting and electrical works
• Experience with Lighting Reality, Amtech, ACAD and Microsoft Packages
• Risk aware both in terms of CDM and financial risk and able to manage or mitigating accordingly
