Job Title: SSOWP (Safe System of Work Planner)

Location: Brimsdown

Salary: Negotiable open to both perm and contract candidates.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated SSOWP to join a large rail company. You will be responsible for planning and implementing safe systems of work to ensure safety of both employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

-Create and check Safe Systems of Work plans with necessary planning and safety in relation to the type of work taking place.

-Keep accounts and all records of possessions up to date.

-Maintain continued working practice and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety procedures.

-Book and confirm through Possessions Planning System (PPS) and submit information relating to any planned possession with necessary applications and timescales.

-Responsible for compliance with necessary legislation and standards.

Essential Requirements:

-Proven experience as an SSOWP

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Be a holder of SSOWP and PTS

-Strong knowledge of relevant safety laws and regulations within the railway

-Good IT literacy and knowledge of Microsoft office

-Understanding of PPS
