Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with expertise in Ground Segments to join our expanding team in Harwell, United Kingdom. As the ideal candidate, you should possess strong business acumen and a proven track record in implementing program initiatives and delivering services to the highest standards. In your capacity as a technical specialist, you will lead and mentor the team, supporting business development activities, actively seeking new opportunities, and successfully delivering projects, programs, and products.

Responsibilities:
- Manage contracts and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to all RHEA clients, acting as a liaison between clients, employees, and the RHEA Group back office.
- Prepare documentation such as proposals, responses to requests, and CCN's.
- Coordinate the kick-off of new contracts, integrating delivery and reporting requirements into monthly planning and ensuring on-site teams are aware of contractual obligations.
- Monitor the financial and technical aspects of contracts, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Assist in review meetings to effectively communicate technical tasks to employees and achieve deliverables.
- Develop strong relationships of trust with clients, understanding their technical and organizational challenges, and identifying potential new business opportunities for RHEA.
- Ensure on-time delivery of contract deliverables, compiling and ensuring the quality of monthly and quarterly service contract reports.
- Capture and analyze customer requirements, interpreting them to define clear roadmaps.
- Collaborate across various technical, project, and security domains, maintaining a holistic view while also understanding technical details.
- Coordinate with technical staff to obtain timely inputs.
- Complete all required financial reporting.
- Monitor internal and client KPIs.
- Implement and monitor operations management processes, ensuring clear communication with employees and compliance with internal requirements. Regularly engage with employees in remote locations, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Coordinate the performance management program and assist in the annual performance review process.

Skills and Experience:
- A university degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of demonstrated experience.
- Experience as a Technical Lead in Space Ground Systems is preferred.
- Exceptional time-management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with space standards, ECSS, and CCSDS.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and a team player.
- Experience in writing and delivering technical documents and briefings, as well as proven proposal writing skills.
- Familiarity with PMO and service delivery processes.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Must be willing to undergo UK Security Clearance.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
