Job description
Our client, a leading F1 team, are looking for Design engineers specialising in Stress/FEA. This is a 6 month contract and sits OUTSIDE IR35. They also offer some hybrid working.
Your duties will include the definition of the relevant test procedures in close liaison with the designer and the R&D department to achieve successful structural sign off and to assist with problem solving for those parts.
In particular candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- An understanding of implications on overall car performance when balancing design criteria
- Experience of being a senior specialist/technical expert for a defined part of the car
- A proven and pro-active fault implementation approach
- A track record of high standards/ownership for all aspects of work delivered
Candidates should have experience in the usage of some of the following:
- Abaqus & Hyperworks
- Optistruct optimisaiton techniques or Genesis
- Laminate Tools
