Job description

This Engineering and Environmental Consultancy have provided technical advice to the quarrying, construction and waste industries for 40 years. They have been involved in nationally significant projects and nurture a close working environment where technical knowledge is shared and ambition rewarded.

There is a Senior role paying up to 40k which will be a mix of office, site and home working. They also pay subscriptions, provide 25 days holiday, pension and free car parking.

The role includes supporting staff in the office and technically reviewing their work. The role also includes providing support to site based staff including site visits and meetings.

Site works will include landfill engineering construction quality assurance, supervision of earthworks, site investigations and surveying. Office works will include technical report and specification preparation, desk studies and data collation and review.

You should be familiar with the use of MS Office Software and familiarity with SLOPE/W, AutoCAD and LSS draughting packages would be an advantage.

You should have experience of working for a geotechnical consultancy, regulator or contractor and have a BSc in Geology or Earth Sciences (which have a geotechnical element) or a BEng in Civil Engineering. A Masters Degree in Geo technical Engineering or other related subject would be an advantage. You must have a full UK driving licence.

Additionally, I am looking for people at Consultant level with 2-3 years experience. Site experience is essential as this will comprise a lot of site work with some opportunity for office/home working.

This role will see you working on an array of waste landfill sites, waste & minerals. You will also be undertaking assessments on quarries, landfill sites and other engineering works. This will be a truly varied role.

The salary is around 30-35k with site allowances paid which can increase your monthly take home pay.
