Job description
Skills and Knowledge
- Full working knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition
- Ability to act on own initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.
Job related experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience of delivering standard instrumentation installations/replacements and quality instrumentation installations/replacements.
- Wiring: Accurate interpretation of schematic diagrams, methods of wiring, selection / ratings of cables.
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous;
- PVC-u pipe installation
- Mechanical installation
About the Role:
- The job holder will liaise closely with the Technology Project Managers, Project Engineers and clients as necessary to effectively execute the on site installation works.
- Working within the Water Industry both in the office and on site.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and that RAMS are prepared for all projects requiring site works.
- To ensure that all site activities are carried out in a systematic and controlled manner ensuring high levels of Client satisfaction
- Manage and co-ordinate sub-contractors and product suppliers effectively.
- Testing and commissioning of MEICA Equipment
- Provide assistance in the testing of PLC, HMI and SCADA packages
- Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations
- Attendance at site meetings
- Report on progress to Manager highlight any concerns, / issues and opportunities of further work.
- The Job Holder must possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to often work under considerable time pressures.
