Job description

Skills and Knowledge

• Full working knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition
• Ability to act on own initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.

Job related experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience of delivering standard instrumentation installations/replacements and quality instrumentation installations/replacements.
• Wiring: Accurate interpretation of schematic diagrams, methods of wiring, selection / ratings of cables.

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous;

• PVC-u pipe installation
• Mechanical installation

About the Role:

• The job holder will liaise closely with the Technology Project Managers, Project Engineers and clients as necessary to effectively execute the on site installation works.
• Working within the Water Industry both in the office and on site.

Principal Accountabilities

• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and that RAMS are prepared for all projects requiring site works.
• To ensure that all site activities are carried out in a systematic and controlled manner ensuring high levels of Client satisfaction
• Manage and co-ordinate sub-contractors and product suppliers effectively.
• Testing and commissioning of MEICA Equipment
• Provide assistance in the testing of PLC, HMI and SCADA packages
• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations
• Attendance at site meetings
• Report on progress to Manager highlight any concerns, / issues and opportunities of further work.
• The Job Holder must possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to often work under considerable time pressures.
