Job description

My client is one of the world's leading engineering companies offering innovative solutions for sophisticated production processes.
They have a new opening in their Quality, Health & Safety and Environment department for a Continuous Improvement Engineer near Eastleigh in Hampshire.

The successful candidate will be familiar with, and act in accordance with, all relevant QHSE management legislation or requirements and help develop the relevant and applicable company management systems policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions.
The Continuous Improvement Engineer day to day responsibilities will be to co-operate with other Sites, partners, customers or suppliers to achieve appropriate synergies and goals. And to work with the Eastleigh team in a cooperative, holistically, collectively manner with an understanding, positive and proactive attitude.
The applicant will manage the timely delivery of Continuous Improvement Projects on site, in line with the company and local objectives.

They will be integral in the development of KPIs and create and communicate a Lean and Continuous Improvement culture and philosophy. They will work closely together with the Lean Manager on the Lean strategy for the site and guide team leads in implementing Continuous Improvement methodologies.

So what do you need to apply for this Continuous Improvement Engineer role ?...

• Experience in a technical and process-based environment and have insight into engineering and manufacturing processes will be key to this role.
• Ideally have some experience in a Continuous Improvement role, preferably within lean and have built up experience within a project business/engineering context.
• Hold a green belt Six Sigma and have knowledge of/and experience with the lean principles, methodologies, concepts and tools
• Have good experience in project management, leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Has excellent oral and written English skills,
• Can travel to other GEA sites across Europe.
• Experience in PowerBI and/or SAP will be a strong advantage.
