PM with experience of working on new build station and access for all projects in a rail environment required to deliver projects of circa £10-£15million in the Swindon, Bristol, South Wales area.

Salary up to £75k
£490 per month c/allowance
Individual Healthcare
25 days holiday + birthday off
5% employee and 5%-9% employer pension. Employer contribution rises with age

We are recruiting for 2 x Project Managers (PM) for Enhancements on stations and buildings across the Wales & Western region for CP7. Projects will initally be at North Filton, Henbury, and Oakhampton Parkway. As PM your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring these projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

  • Lead the successful delivery of rail enhancement projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and resources, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers, fostering effective working relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, anticipating potential challenges and implementing contingency plans to ensure project success.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, reporting on progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.

About you…. (what you are skilled at)

  • Experience as a Project Manager in the rail industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects valued to £20m, within budget and on time.
  • Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure, (to include rail structures, builds and stations), station design, building regulations, and relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams, build effective relationships, and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on delivering projects within a framework environment.
  • Previous experience working for a tier one contracting organisation, ideally with knowledge of the Wales & Western region, on Network Rail infrastructure.
