Job description
Our water construction client is seeking a MEICA Project Engineer to based in Reading/Oxford working on their Thames Water contract.
The candidate will oversee the successful delivery of MEICA scope through all stages from design to handover on multiple integrated schemes, involving the installation and upgrading of treatment and distribution assets.
This is a full-time position and the candidate will be required on site but some remote/hybrid working offered.
Responsibilities
As a MEICA Project Engineer you'll join a company who are a strategic partner to Thames Water Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. They deliver design & build services for new and existing Infrastructure assets (below ground) and non-Infrastructure assets (above ground).
Your day to day will include:
- Programme ownership of all Mechanical and Electrical aspects from design through to commissioning and handover
- Selection of Mechanical & Electrical supply chain and package scope, based on technical and commercial judgement
- Accountability for design integration of M&E package plants and associated control and automation
- Promote collaborative planning with the client and suppliers to maintain a common focus on key outputs and deliverables with appropriate escalation as risk occur
- Line Management duties of Mechanical or Electrical Supervisors and Graduates
- Contribution in identifying project risks and opportunities along with implementing mitigation and realisation measures respectively
Skills/qualifications/experience
- Industry experience working on capital projects
- Technically competent in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
- 5 Day - Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate
- Hold full UK Driving Licence
