Job description

Proven Risk professional required to work on a major utilities infrastructure framework in County Durham. This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity and has been classed as OUTSIDE IR35 but candidates will have to work 2 days a week in the client's office in Durham.

If you have experience of working in utilities projects that would be an advantage, but candidates must have worked on major infrastructure projects.

The role will be responsible for leading a team of risk management professionals, as well as being a risk advisor to programme management and integrated programme controls experts, to assist in the successful delivery of outcomes through best practice risk management.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience of leading risk team within a PMO or major project.
• Proven experience of managing large and complex projects, programmes within a PMO assurance environment.
• Expert in best practice risk management industry standards.
• Previous team leadership, understanding what motivates people and drives high performing teams.
• Experience of working alongside integrated controls, estimating and commercial teams.
• Created / Developed risk management reporting dashboards.
• Experience in the creation of risk insights within a project community
• Proven stakeholder management to influence risk management embedment and improving risk maturity.
• Developed and conducted risk management training programmes.
