My Client is recruiting for Mechanical Fitters in the Water Sector

Based in Bedford some workshop and some field based with travel throughout the UK.

Up to £38K plus OT and Vehicle

Trainees with the background/qualifications and driving licence my be considered

JOB PURPOSE

• To work safely at all times and to always consider the safety of others in anything they do
• To deliver mechanical services on defined projects
• To take instruction from a team leader
• To work in the workshop or on site as required

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Mechanical fitting
  • Experience in working with mechanical equipment
  • Ideally a recognised apprenticeship
  • Ability to work from instruction
  • Clear demonstration of safety behaviour
  • Ability to read and understand general arrangement drawings.

• Holds or has the capability to obtain the relevant qualifications to fulfil duties & accountabilities within the next year:
  • Full valid UK driving licence (or equivalent) - essential
  • Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme [CSCS] card
  • Valid National Water Hygiene card - EUSR
  • Confined Space - Level 2 City & Guilds
  • Forklift Licence (preferable)
  • PASMA (preferable)
  • @One Safety Passport - (preferable)
  • Thames Water Passport - (preferable)
