Job description
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual to help with the expansion of their electric power steering range, as they continue to develop new products for the marine, motorsport, off highway, and autonomous vehicle sectors. The ideal candidate will have an extensive mechatronics background, including experience with vehicle or vessel electrical systems. A good working knowledge of CAN bus systems would be advantageous, as would experience in harness building, prototyping, and soldering. They'll be joining a close-knit team where a proactive 'can-do' attitude is a prerequisite - they will need to be flexible and organised with excellent problem-solving skills.
The role will include the design, assembly and programming of electric power steering systems and similar products, providing technical support (including external site visits), assisting in other areas as required, ensuring that high levels of accuracy, quality and customer service are maintained.
Knowledge:
* A good working knowledge of mechatronic systems.
* Able to manufacture wiring harnesses and terminate connectors.
