**Senior Project Manager - Space Tech**
Senior Project Manager with experience in the satellite or engineering/aerospace industry? Come and work on some of the world's most innovative space projects!


**Key Responsibilities**
Role to include, but not limited to:
- Manage projects or aspects of a project from contract commencement through development and delivery of space and ground segments, launch preparation, in-orbit commissioning, and subsequent service delivery and operations.
- Take full responsibility for all project aspects, or a major program element, adhering to established procedures & processes, including schedules, deliverables lists, management plans, risk management, technical maturity gates, and earned value management.
- Oversee day-to-day project core team activities, ensuring alignment with the baseline plan. Strong leadership, motivation, and driving engineering delivery are paramount.
- Deconstruct work into suitable work packages and secure resource agreements with engineering team leaders.
- Engage with our client's customers and internal stakeholders, including Engineering Functional Managers, Heads of Engineering, Project Accounting, Commercial teams, and Leadership Team.
- Manage major project reviews, defining objectives, inputs, outputs, and success criteria. Ensure successful outcomes for customer payment milestones.
- Effectively manage project risks, identifying and addressing risks through structured mitigation actions within the project work package structure.
- Monitor and control project finances, maintaining appropriate contingency levels relative to risk exposure, cost to complete, and profit margins. Ensure project adherence to budget.
- Prepare cost documentation in support of business development efforts.
- Support bids, offering programmatic solutions to the Bid Manager. Cover deliverables, schedule, costs, risks, and customer interactions.

**Previous Experience**
- Experienced in project management, including setup, execution, and successful delivery, ideally in the satellite or engineering/aerospace domain.
- Experience in customer interaction.
- Proficiency in contract implementation.
- Familiarity with work package systems and matrix management structures is advantageous.

**Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills**
- A degree or equivalent in engineering or a technical discipline is preferable.
- Strong people management skills, capable of motivating in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and providing effective leadership.
- Excellent team collaboration skills, coupled with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for influencing, persuading, and negotiating with various stakeholders.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and results-oriented.
- Skilled in decision-making, creative problem-solving, and clear communication.
- Ability to deliver under pressure and within tight timeframes.
- Proficient in working closely with technical teams to comprehend concepts, issues, and their impact on schedules and costs.
- Proficiency in risk management and communicating risk philosophy.
- Understanding of commercial terms and their project implications.
- Competence in creating and maintaining project plans and schedules using tools like MS Project.
- Capability to work autonomously and take initiative.
- Familiarity with contracts and product assurance plans.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.

**Location**
