Job description
The PPM is the Industrial focal between the Project Support Team & Operations, responsible for structural industrial performance (eg delivery, quality) for the Program.
* Work with the project support team to understand and prioritise industrial global critical activities (including: cost reduction, manufacturability, design changes, NC etc.) & validate Engineering Design Changes on behalf of Operations, in-line with production capability.
*You will be accountable for costs for the Production scope of work for its Programs. This will include consolidating cost saving actions for MAKE parts, and promote Industrial teams to identify cost saving opportunities
*Verify Manufacturing & Assembly plans are in line with the defined parameters and ensure protection of the Program;
*Identify Industrial blockers, escalating to the project team as required for resolution support;
*Understand and analyse risks of your program and evaluate risk mitigation plans;
*You will coordinate the recovery plan for all functions, to restore the performance of the program if required, making suggestions to improve the Industrial Scheme based on the existing performance & risks. Ensuring recovery action plans are consistent and robust;
*Monthly management of Supply risk during transfers
*Manage program stock levels policies (Buffer Stock, Buffer Time, Production Plan buffer target);
*Contribute to MTP preparation & consolidation by defining the vision of the Industrial Scheme evolution and risks to take into account;
*Consolidate NRC budgets for Production;
*Occasional customer interaction required as an industrial focal point.
What do you need from me?
*Experience in a Manufacturing environment is essential, with Landing Gear Product knowledge highly advantageous.
*You will have excellent project/program management experience, with proven examples of improving performance
*You will have experience in configuration management, understanding of basic MRPII processes, and use of ERP (Ideally SAP)
*Strong ability to build and communicate a vision across cross-functional teams, coordination of cross functional teams with the ability to drive recovery plans
*You'll be customer oriented, and procurement & purchasing knowledge would be beneficial
