Responsibilities:
As an Electric Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) Aftermarket Field Technician, you will be based at our Surrey, and occasionally onsite with clients as first line support. Responsibilities included:
- Conducting maintenance repairs and investigations on our product, addressing mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical issues.
- Handling on-site call-outs for escalated issues in your region, at customer depots, or Vehicle Maintenance units (VMUs).
- Assisting the Aftermarket engineer with maintenance procedure verification and serviceability tests.
- Collaborating with the engineering team for technical builds and research in an R&D environment.
- Maintaining the field support van for efficient use and well-stocked inventory.
- Performing planned and unplanned maintenance on our demo fleet.
- Building and maintaining necessary Aftermarket test rigs.
- Providing technical debriefs on maintenance activities.
- Supporting product launches across the UK.
Qualifications:
You should be:
- Ambitious, ethical, competitive, and creative.
- Self-motivated, organised, and dedicated to meeting deadlines.
- Proactive in optimising processes and learning in a research and development (R&D) setting.
- Capable of establishing and nurturing relationships with customers and maintenance partners in the field.
- Detail-oriented with a strong grasp of maintenance repair standards and processes.
You have:
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical field tasks.
- F-GAS category 2 certification or related experience.
- Basic understanding of low voltage electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and maintenance requirements.
- Troubleshooting skills for unplanned maintenance issues.
- Demonstrated experience in repair and diagnostics for refrigerated trailers, HVAC, or similar systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to follow instructions and collaborate within a diverse team.
