Construction Manager - Solar PV Plants

My client is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to creating a sustainable future through the development and construction of solar PV plants. We are seeking a number of Construction Site Managers to join their team and contribute to their mission of providing clean and reliable energy solutions.
Overview
As a Construction Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of Solar PV projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality and contractual compliance of work performed by EPC and ICP contractors during the construction phase. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the renewable energy industry while working with a team of dedicated professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits to construction sites, ensuring quality and contractual compliance of work performed by EPC or ICP contractors.
- Report deviations to the Project Manager, including schedule discrepancies, design variations, environmental issues, and technical non-conformities.
- Propose corrective actions and draft responses to contractual deviations, working collaboratively with contractors.
- Provide daily progress reports, including activity rates and work completion forecasts.
- Offer technical, contractual, and budgetary guidance to the development team and other stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain "best practice" quality procedures.
- Conduct follow-up meetings to establish and maintain required construction standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and address any issues that impact project safety and quality.
- Perform pre-construction site visits, providing feedback on constructability, accessibility, and grid connectivity.
Required Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Solar PV plant development and construction processes, including HSE requirements.
- Proven experience working with EPC contractors, ICP contractors, and DNO in the renewable energy sector.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Commercial awareness.
- Attention to technical details and contractual requirements.
- Ability to work independently on-site while maintaining regular communication with the office-based team.
- Fluent in Spanish language.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or equivalent qualification.
