Job description

As a Principal / Senior Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and delivering high-quality technical services for feasibility, development, owner's engineer, and technical due diligence assignments, with a strong focus on Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
• Providing technical input to ESS developments throughout the project development lifecycle, including integration with other electrical or generating plants as needed.
• Advising clients on project development and execution processes, including key stages, timelines, and associated risks.
• Project management and effective coordination between engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and control & instrumentation.
• Drafting and reviewing technical specifications such as Employer's Requirements, evaluating tenders, and providing support in contractor appointments.

• Site layouts and optimization, concept design, and feasibility studies.
• Technical due diligence.
• Lender's Technical Advisor (LTA) scopes of work.
• Project development and Owner's Engineer (OE) scopes of work, encompassing tendering, contracting support, construction oversight, and technical advisory services.
• Hybrid Projects (including ESS) and ESS Capacity and Power Optimizations.
• Operation & Maintenance and Asset Management.

We are eager to hear from you if you possess the following:

• A degree in a relevant engineering, technical, or scientific discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of ESS technology, with a particular focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Experience in developing utility-scale sites in the UK at any stage (experience across multiple stages preferred).
• Proficiency in project management and the ability to lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage directly with clients for project delivery and to cultivate positive relationships that support future work opportunities.
• Attention to detail, excellent multitasking abilities, and a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
